Pastor

Brief info

Our pastor is Terry Allen. Terry, in his late 50's, is married to Fleur and, together, they have four adult children and two grandchildren.

Terry's background is television and radio news journalism but, apart from the occasional voice over, that is the past.

Terry has been the Minister at SBBC since 2005 and is part of the Church health team which provides consultants to churches in NSW/ACT when they require help from outside their own fellowship.

The bulk of the mission work SBBC does is in Nepal where Terry teaches the Bible to church planters who have been retained by International Mission Ministries (IMM). The church also financially supports Every Daughter Matters (EDM) an anti-human trafficking ministry in Nepal. The teaching and fundraising is delivered, usually, on an annual mission trip to Nepal.

"I can't think of anything in ministry I have been more blessed by. Many of the Nepalese pastors I teach are young in the faith (a few years at most) and are already leading large fellowships. And many of them face a kind of persecution we only read about. To be used by God to help equip them is so humbling."

Terry's theological study includes undergraduate through Moore College in the 1990's, a degree at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (2019) and post-grad study at Morling College (2022).

On most Sundays throughout the year, you can come along and hear Terry preach at SBBC. Services are 9.30am.
